NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Nov. 1 US citizens, US nationals or permanent resident aliens. No more than 1 full year of graduate study completed

EPA Fellowships for Graduate Environmental Study (STAR Fellowhsips) Nov. 28 US citizens or permanent residents
For graduate study in areas relating to environmental research
National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship Jan. 8 US citizens or nationals
Fellowships are awarded to individuals who have demonstrated ability and special aptitude for advanced training in science and enineering
ASME Federal Agency Fellowships NA US citizens or nationals and members of ASME
Fellows participate directly in the process and learn how the federal government operates. In addition, agencies are provided with essential engineering expertise and, at the end of the fellowship year, a fellow's employer has an engineer with in-depth knowledge of congressional/governmental decision-making processes.
ASME Homeland Security Fellowships NA Mechanical Fundamentals of Electronic Systems
The fellowhip program is designed to provide an opportunity to learn through participation how scientific and technological information is used in federal policy-making, to demonstrate the value of science/engineering-government interaction, and to bring technical backgrounds and external perspectives to DHS
DHS Scholarship and Felllowship Jan. 23 U.S. Citizens. First year students only.
For students pursuing basic science and technology innovation that can be applied to the DHS mission and objectives
E.J. Sierleja Memorial Fellowship Nov. 15 NA
Available annually to a graduate student pursuing advanced studies in the area of transportation, with priority given to students focusing on rail transportation.
The US National Science Foundation East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) Dec. 12 U.S. citizen or permanent resident; enrolled in MS or PhD studies in fields of science and engineering at US institution
Provides summer research experience in Australia, China,
Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore or Taiwan; introduction to the local science and science policy infrastructure.
